YAYAYYAYA, So this year has had so many great and terrible things happen. We had our "final" presentations Wednesday, it was crazy. We had so much to do before the actual presentations. We actually worked all of Wednesday morning until our presentation took place. When it was finally time for my team to go up I was actually a little bit scared that they wouldn't like the game as much as we wanted them too. We have worked so hard and really wanted them to see that. When they finally told us there comments it felt as if 100 pounds had be lifted form my shoulders. The asked if we had be entered for the competition and sounded really excited when we told them we where.

So let me give you the run down of the rest of my year. I have presentations tomorrow and I still have so much work to do. I have everything ready like on the demo skeleton but I completely re-did it so it would look better. The only thing i wish was different about it is the coding. It took me like 3 days to get all the buttons to work and my instance names to work as well so i could do the hit test. No my fracman is working and keeping score. I am so excited to see how all my stuff will come together for tomorrow. I hope my team makes Mr. Lester proud we(i) have really worked extremely hard.

Happy Friday(: I am happy to say that this week is over in about 14 hours(I think) So, I guess i should start of by saying that we have got so much done with our game. So far we have got level one done, and our fracman can move and it keeps score. But right now i still need to go back and add code to mae our fracghost move around. I also need to make the out lines for my game walls so my fracman will not travel all around he will have to work for what he want. As of right now i need to do level two and level three then i need to create a congragulations scene. I love my group more then anything but I really need there help with all the dead lines comming up here soon. I would love for my team to step up and show me that they want to have the best game and that they want to work hard and have something to show for it. In our game the math part comes in first thing. In order to go to the next level you have to find the correct answer to what ever problem we have dealing with fractions. At the end of the year i hope that we have a game that I am really proud of because I have truelly worked so hard this year.

So, its nearing the end of 8th grade and things are getting more and more crazy.. What can I say, I think flash is becoming my new best friend. It has taught me so much this year. I think most of the tutorials are so easy. I can't believe that anything we have done on flash could be easy but some of it is. I think my favorite thing i have done is the blur or the explosion. Doing my game has many ups and downs. The mane thing I run into that stresses me out is forgetting to add key- frames or forgetting to rename things in my code. My game includes the mini game code and I also used the code that we used for buttons to go different places. I think the best part of our game will probably be collecting the fracdots. I really can't wait to see the finished product of our game, im soooo excited.

Well, Its another not so wonderful Friday. I need about three more hours of sleep then I think i would be ready for anything the day had to offer me- even school. As I was looking over some of the other schools team pages and things I noticed that there really wasn't to much to look at. I feel that what EGMS had accomplished looked ok but I am really proud of our group. Since our game is so complicated I don't think I would use any of there codes because what they had done didn't look like it had any code at all. I love the game we have and don't think looking at the games from there school would make me want to change it at all. I commented on two teams stuff, and my comment gave a few positive things and something I think they should work on. The problem they had the most was not having any code on there stuff, some of the team pages didn't have anything at all uploaded and if they did it was something simple like buttons.

Yay, so today is Friday and I am ending the week with and ear infection and a really sore throat. I am really happy tomorrow is Saturday I am in much pain and going crazy. So, this week has been pretty exciting. We did our presentation with our people on New York. That was one of the most fun and scary things this year has thrown at me. I think the hardest part of my presentation was basically doing it all by myself. My other two people where at youth and government . But I think this was a very awarding as well. David( New York person) was/ seemed to be very pleased with our game. He told us that he couldn't wait to see it and he was very proud of us. When our game is FINALLY done I look for it to look like we have it now with a few minor adjustments that make the game look great!! I am so excited for the up coming spring break, I hope before we leave we have a good start to the final part of our game.

7th Graders.........

So, we are 22 days to spring break and we are running really low on time. We have about 70 days left in school and we are on presenting our game. I have learned a pretty good bit from the 7th graders so far. We watched them about two weeks ago and it looked pretty difficult. I learned that you have to share turns with others before the end of your power point. And if you don't then you will get points taken of your grade. I really like working on power point So this was a fun topic to do. I think the hardest thing in this topic was catching up because of all the snow days we have had. We have no time to finish anything and when we do come to school we are rushed, which is so frusterating.

Assembling My Game

Wow, another blog is here. It seems like we blog every other day we are at school. This snow is really hurting us. But any way, we are on assembling our game. We have had so may ups and downs on this thing. Ugh! I think the most fun part of doing this was getting to work outside of our group. I love my group but boy; does Bobby get annoying. I think the hardest thing in this lesson so far was knowing when to add a layer, key frame, and knowing how to fix over lapping objects. The main problem is the over lapping, so I have to get Barker to help me.

Jordan Wayne, Through all the silly fights and all the goofy nicknames you became my best friend. You were my protector/ best friend/ and heart. You were always there for me, no matter what i needed and I swear, I will love you forever. This summer we had some of the most fun times. We were the two that were always together, and I was the girl that really took our relationship for granted. I feel so bad that i did, but now i realize that he was a blessing to me, in more ways then one. Without him i would have fallen apart a long, long time ago. I remember when i was the new kid at Sandy River and Jordan and Tyler Christian fought over who would get to date me first. Well low and behold Jordan was the lucky first. Sixth grade was one of my favorite years ever, that was the year our relationship really had a kick off. I miss him so much dude. Christmas day he had come over and we went sledding down the church steps across the street from my house. It was so funny because i refused to go down the stairs of the church by myself, So Jordan said ill go and we did. It was even more fun because we got stuck and we both flipped off. Math Games Are fun?

Can math Games be fun? When this question is asked I would usually say NO! But the reason I would say no is because I really don't like math at all. When I play some math games on FunBrain they can be alot of fun. I think the games that are fun usually have a math question then a fun thing to follow. As my blog readers already know I am not a fan of math and I really don't think there is anything that can be done to make it anymore fun. One of the math sites I really enjoy is FunBrain. There are games that you can play for just about any topic.

Adding Interaction

Wow; Almost Christmas time which means time for a break..Yay.So far this week I have completed adding sound and interaction. Well what can I say about this topic so far.... I am so happy it is over. Week after week we do things that are basicly the same. Well this week things have really picked up and we have had to step up and finish what seems like everything. Ading interaction has been really tricky. One of the websites I got a sound from would not let me add it to my flash file and after five or six trys i got really angry. I think adding sond was just as hard though. I hope as this year progresses I can do all this without havong to use a guide in the last things we do(:

This year has had so many things happen in it. The main thing that has changed for me has actually been in this class. You may wonder what I am talking about well I ma talking about my group. The two people that are in my group are Bobby and Nathan. When we first started off in this class I was not happy about who my group was but, as the year has gone on I have really started to appreciate them(: Both of my team mates have strong and weak points. But I have noticed that when one has a a probem the other can fix it! Some of the other teams still complain about there group but I don't think i would trade mine if I could(: What a year♥ Oh and my goal before the end of this year will be to become closer to the group then I already was. I and also hope that we have a good gae to present because we all work so hard in this class that has so many ups and downs.

Adding navagation had alot of ups and downs to it. But over all it was okay. I think so far adding navagation is the hardest leason that I have down. My group is the best but i was sick last week and had to miss a few days; well when i came back none of my froup new what to do at all. So right now we are really struggling to make up all the stuff we have missed. The HUGE problem we have right now is all of our levels are on different computers and flash. And each time our teacher trys to help i get really stressed out and right now i am to the point of going crazy. But i know in the end my group will pull together and be okay.

Wow;; My tenth..So close to tweenty(: Globaloria is just as fun and stressing as always. There is always work to be done in this class. When we first started of my group has so many ideas and all wanted our individual ideas in the game. We have all come along way and made our outline for the game. We have a lot to our game that makes it different from other peoples. We use flash for everything in this class, but none of use where really good at it. Recently my whole group learned how to make our images and stuff more realistic and we also learned how to make out buttons. I think the thing my group struggles with the most is learning things together. I have noticed that usually only one person from the group knows how to do it..To be honest I don't think its fair so I talked to my group and we are all going to try to put more effort in to our learning. Globaloria is a blast and I can't wait to learn more through the year to make my game and my team better.(:

Flash; Flash; Flash

`Wow!! Flash is so fun. Me and my group have learned so much. Me personally I have learned how to make buttons and how to change all my colors. I have also learned how to change the color of shapes. This may not seem like that much but flash is actually very complicated. I think the hardest thing I have done so far is make buttons. To make buttons you have to go through so many steps. Whats funny yet frustrating is after all these steps you could have messed up and the button wont work. When this happens you usually have to go back and see what you did that messed the button up. I have also learned that the control and the z key make your mistakes go away. Flash is more then just the art. We have learned how to write stuff in it then put it to our projects page. As a group we have learned how to draw the mazes we need to make fracman and we have also learned how to use our layers for different things. Flash is a blast and I hope to learn more from it:)

The Role I got♥

My role in the group is a project manager. So far i think i a pretty good at the job. i help people when they need help and I think i usually keep the group on track. Me and my team I think have come along way.All of use have different and very creative ideas. Therefor sometimes we disagree. But when my team disagrees we usually decide to use a few of the ideas to make one that we all like. When we do that we all get at least a little of what we want in the idea. I am really looking forward to getting to see how people like our game. The only thing i am worried about its the negative comments. I know how hard we work and I would hate for somebody not to like the game that we are working so hard and putting alot of time into. Our inspiration for the game was actually another game. Out inspiration was pacman. I really like the game and the other ones in my group did to so we wanted something kinda close to it.

Personally I feel that I have learned so much by using the computer for this class. While learning I feel that I also enjoy what I play and do.This class is not always(usually) fun but the sample games we get to play are. Some of the educational game I have played are The Cost Of Life and Darfur is Dying. I absolutely love the Cost of life..I play it alot. I learned that life for some people has not always been easy. In fact nobody's life will be perfect and this game shows everything from school to trying to stay healthy and not catching things from the farm. I think that games can create a learning atmosphere or we would not have this class. I know that each time my group works on our game we get better ideas for how we can help younger kids understand fractions.

Wow...There is alto that I have experienced with this lesson. I learned that this class is not at all easy and I also learned that that more you get into this class the harder it seems to get. But when I leave this class I also feel like i h ave accomplished alot because of the flash challenge. The hardest thing for me is making my flash exactly how it is in the example. Sometimes I don't see the right keys and I become really frustrated. But I think I am excited because everything we do is one step closer to having a complete game that people can play and hopefully give positive fed back. I am also pretty excited about getting to make the characters of the game. i am hoping that each person in our group would want to make one of the characters about them and play as them self. I think that would be alot of fun.I can't wait to make my game. The only problem I think I would have would be patience.But I think with the group I have we will be fine.

Why i added the Math bloggs I did........

I added the blogs I did because I thought in some way they could be useful. They are also very interesting. Finding math blogs is actually not easy. Most of the math blogs that i found where for bigger kids in higher grades. The first blog I added had alot about fractions and I found that pretty useful for the curriculum we where covering in math class. It showed how to multiply, add,subtract, and divide. That blog would really help if somebody needed help and they could just go and read the blog instead of asking a teacher. I also choose this blog because it looked as if the people that wrote it where in out grade. I also choose this blog because the home page has alot of choices as to what you can read about. It also has a few games that you can play.

Wow, so far I feel like this class has been great I feel like i have already learned so much and its only the first few months of being back. There is so much about Globaloria that I find fascinating, the main thing for me would be how quick we have picked up on all the things we have to know. For me the learning log looked hard and I thought I would mess up but after the first time I had it. This class has so far provided alot that nobody else knows how to do. We get to us flash and we get to blog and alot of other stuff people thinks is boring. But this class is so much fun. Its opened my eyes to see that this is actually the most interesting class I have ever taken. The playing to learn unit to me was a blast. There was one game I wanted to play everyday and I still find it quite interesting. We haven't done that much as far as making a game but we have learned how to make things move and that's pretty difficult. So i can only imagine how hard it was to make a full game and share your idea within that game. I have played at least one game froem every genre.The Cost of Life is the game I like so much. Its just a great game!! I think Viddler has been a great source to find information about what you need and watch it in a video so you don't have to read. Flash is a really cool program and I hope that I become alot better at it or I might have a hard time in this class. I hope that with flash I have a completed game before the end of the year and I hope the game that I make is a success. When we get our group together I would like to be the artist.I'm not that good in art but it seems like something that would really push me to do my absolute best!

Our Internet Responsibilities

When we are using the internet there are alot of things we should know. We should know how to keep personal information in our school and not outside of it. And when we give our information we need to make sure it is going to a person you can trust and know pretty well. When you use the internet it is also important that we know exactly what where doing so hackers don't get in to our system and steal peoples information. In this Globaloria class most of our personal stuff is kept to a minimum and when we keep all that on the down low I think we keep ourselves pretty safe. But there are alot of people that know what they are doing and can hack into our data base and steal information. So when I am at school on the internet and the teachers tell me exactly what to do I feel pretty safe because i trust that they wont put me on a site that could get me harmed in anyway. I feel like the internet is usually safe, most people aren't aloud to use a computer until a certain age and I know in my house when I reached the age my parents still wanted to know everything I was on. In my opinion the only time I feel like the internet is a problem is when you put yourself in danger. But i also feel like the internet is safe because you have to sign an agreement form before you can use a computer and it tells you what you can and can't get on.

Well when I am asked do I like math I cant really say yes or no. For me there is mixed feelings. Math is ok.. Its not my favorite subject at all. I think maybe if i where better at math I may like it more but its just a subject I really struggle with. My favorite lesson in math would probably have to be turning fractions into decimals. But I also like scientific notation. I like both of these lessons because if you need help you have your teacher but you also have a calculator. Sometimes when you can't use the calculator your teacher will allow you to be with a partner. I really enjoy working with a partner or group because you get to see what your classmates know. But I like using a calculator when i am stuck to because it is usually pretty quick. My least favorite lesson in math would have to be order of operations using decimals. For me that makes things ten times harder then they would usually be. This lesson is hard to me even using a calculator. I really don't know why I struggle with it so much but I do. I also struggle with multiplying decimals. I just don;t think that decimals like me at all. They are always giving me a hard time.

In this Globaloria class I hope that I learn alot about all kinds of stuff. I want to learn how to make my game better then last years by learning all I can from my wiki page. I would like to make my game about problems I had when I was younger in class. I would really like to make the game focused towards up coming sixth graders to help them when they first get to middle school.But I want the game to be focused in there math journey because thats what i had the biggest problem with. Hopefully my game will succeed in helping kids through this by educating them about what you will need for math class. I am pretty excited about being in this class so far. I am really looking forward to everybody playing my game and hopefully talking about how much fun they had and how helpful it was for them to play my game.Wehn I was first in middle school i needed alot of help with fractions so I am wanting the game to be about fractions and everything there is to learna bout them! I am a little bit scared about how peoples reaction will be to my game. I am worried that people will be judgemental of my game like they are to people on the first day of school. I want people to be like I love Kegan's game. And people from last year didn't really talk
that much about the games that where made. But so far globaloria has been a blast!!
